The MHA Pro Bono Counseling Program is one of only a few programs that offer no cost, short-term counseling as a community service in Houston/Harris County.

Facilitated by Mental Health America of Greater Houston, the MHA Pro Bono Counseling Program initially addressed the mental health needs of those displaced in Houston as a result of the trauma and devastation caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Recognizing the critical need for counseling and therapy services year-round for individuals, couples and families in our area, the program continues.  Licensed mental health professionals volunteer their services to improve the wellness of individuals and families in need regardless of their ability to pay.

To find out if you are eligible for free services through the MHA Pro Bono Counseling Program call the Helpline at 713-255-2048
