2015 Veterans Mental Health Summit - Southeast Texas Gulf Coast Region
The Veterans Mental Health Summit for the Southeast Texas Gulf Coast Region took place on Friday, August 14, 2015, at the University of St. Thomas.
It was designed to promote awareness and use of VA mental health resources, help Veterans gain access to local services, and build healthy communities for Veterans and their families by providing a forum for participants to exchange information. It also honored Veteran peer mentors who serve as volunteers or employees with veteran-serving organizations.
The Veterans Mental Health Summit is a collaborative, community event between the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Mental Health America of Greater Houston, City of Houston Office of Veterans Affairs, Gulf Coast Center, Grace after Fire, Lone Star Veterans Association, MHMRA of Harris County, Military Veteran Peer Network, Playsmint LLC, Tri‐County Behavioral Healthcare, United Way of Greater Houston, University of St. Thomas, and Via Hope.
