Peripartum Mental Health Trainings

Since 2006, we have trained more than 2,300 mental health, medical, and social service professionals on peripartum mental health.  Our training covers topics including signs and symptoms of postpartum depression, other perinatal mental health disorders, screening and referral, treatment options, and the effects of untreated maternal depression on children.

Three training modules are available:

  • Training for medical professionals (physicians, nurses, etc.)
  • Training for non-medical professionals (social workers, other mental health professionals, social service professionals, etc.)
  • Training for mixed audience of medical and non-medical professionals

A training can be scheduled for an audience of 10 or more.  In addition, Community Trainings are available twice a year for individual registrants.  For more information about scheduling a training or attending a Community Training, please contact Karen George.
