Networking Group Enhances Knowledge of Behavioral Health Providers

Stacy Ogbeide, PsyD, a founding member of the Primary Care Behavioral Health Networking Group, presented on how providers can best integrate behavioral medicine into primary care. While it is essential to the provision of high-quality integrated health care services, most providers do not receive behavioral health training while completing graduate or medical school coursework.

Stacy Ogbeide, PsyD, is Assistant Professor/Clinical, Department of Family and Community Medicine, Family Medicine Residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.

The Integrated Primary Care Behavioral Health Networking Group of Greater Houston is part of the Greater Houston Behavioral Health Affordable Care Act (BHACA) Initiative, a collaborative endeavor of the Network of Behavioral Health Providers and MHA of Greater of Houston.  The networking group provides an opportunity for individuals working in primary care settings, administrators, students and others with an interest to increase knowledge and connect with other behavioral health professionals.
