MESSAGE FROM HPD/SHERIFF:
Please do not use law enforcement social media pages to report emergencies. If you need to leave your home because of high water but you’re safe please call 311. Do not call 911 unless you are in a state of emergency. If you are stranded in your vehicle in flooded waters, get out and move to higher ground. Only call 911 for life-threatening emergencies.

If you're trying to get through 911 stay on the line and don't hang up. They are receiving a high volume of calls.
