Annual Fund Campaign Gift
Gifts to MHA Houston’s Annual Fund support our mission of enhancing the mental health of all Houstonians, and improving the lives of those living with mental illness.
Betsy Schwartz Scholarship Fund
Mental Health America of Greater Houston is pleased to announce that an endowed fund has been established as an enduring tribute to our departing president and CEO Betsy Schwartz. The Betsy Schwartz Endowed Scholarship Fund will provide a stipend for student interns. A strong internship experience immersing students in the field of mental health will set the stage for the development of leaders who will continue to work for access to quality care and good mental health for all. Our interns will carry forward Betsy’s legacy of leadership, advocacy and positive change throughout our community. The fund was created with a generous lead gift from longtime supporters Joan and Stanford Alexander, who hope that others will follow and continue to support Betsy’s vision and the vital work of Mental Health America.
To make a gift in memory of a friend or loved one, or a gift to honor a person or celebration, such as a wedding, birthday or graduation, you may donate online.
With a bequest gift, you will ensure future support for MHA Houston and leave a lasting legacy. You will also be welcomed as a member of one of the MHA Giving Societies.

Annual Membership Drive
As advocates, we work every day to promote mental health and improve the lives of those with mental illnesses, but we cannot accomplish this alone. Please consider joining your voice to ours by becoming a member of Mental Health America of Greater Houston (MHA). MHA has been a voice for mental health care in our community for over 55 years. The nominal membership fee helps to fund vital community programs like the Pro Bono Counseling Program, Women’s Mental Health, Information and Referral, Legislative Advocacy and Public Awareness. These programs make a direct impact throughout our community.
Membership carries no obligations. It is simply your way of standing up and declaring your commitment to good mental health for all Houstonians. For assistance, contact Mary Catherine Sears at email@example.com or click here to join today.
