5th Annual Building Bridges Forum on Spirituality and Mental Health

Baylor College of Medicine Psychiatry Residents Outreach to the Public Sector will hold its 4th Annual Building Bridges Forum on Spirituality & Mental Health.

This year's theme is Healing in Times of Grief: A Spirituality and Mental Health Forum. This event, one of the many educational outreach events organized by PROPS, is a community-wide panel discussion designed for mental health providers, religious leaders and laypersons to explore the challenges our community faces with regards to their spiritual and mental health. Our goal is to address the misconceptions of mental health treatments, to reduce the stigma associated with pursuing care for emotional illness and to enhance the interface between spirituality and mental wellness.

This event is free and open to the public and will take place Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at the Lee and Joe Jamail Specialty Care Center, 1977 Butler Blvd., E4.120 (4th Floor). Complimentary dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the discussion forum to follow.
