UTHealth Psychiatry Grand Rounds is holding a special presentation in recognition of World Bipolar Day.

Join us for our upcoming event, designed to raise awareness and offer information about Bipolar Disorder in recognition of World Bipolar Day (WBD). Now in its third year, World Bipolar Day will be celebrated every year on March 30, the birthday of Vincent Van Gogh, who was posthumously diagnosed as likely to have had bipolar disorder. Our shared vision is to bring world awareness to bipolar disorders, eliminate social stigma, and build sensitivity towards the illness.

The panel of speakers will offer various perspectives addressing these questions:

• Recent innovations in treatment alternatives
• Adapting various therapies across the lifespan
• Medications: Psychiatrist Prescribed vs Self-Medicated
• Effective ways to educate and motivate patients for healthier behaviors

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mercedes Pang (Mercedes.Pang@uth.tmc.edu) for more information.
