Volunteering at the Beacon

Every Friday Morning (starting Nov 6) , 7:15 —10:30 am

1212 Prairie Street, Houston, TX 77002

Come hangout with the Military Veteran Peer Network and spend your Friday mornings giving back to the homeless community. We conduct a wide arrange of tasks such as passing out cream and sugar to individuals coming in, prepping and cooking the meals for lunch service, laundry services and intake of personnel.

Wear comfortable clothing, a hat if you have one. If not, one will provided to you. No open toed shoes. There is a parking garage off of San Jacinto Street that is free to volunteers at The Beacon. You will receive a ticket when you enter the gate of the garage. Bring this ticket inside with you so that it can get validated by the staff. After parking, proceed to the stairs and go to the first floor. Walk out of the gate and towards your left. The volunteer entrance will be at the end of the hallway and to the left.
