Mental Health and Aging Committee Meeting
The MHA Mental Health and Aging Committee raises awareness about the mental health concerns that affect aging and elderly adults and promotes health aging strategies. Its members focus on helping aging and elderly adults understand how to keep mentally fit and to know where they can get help for depression, anxiety or mental health problems.
Wednesday, October 21st
Location: Mental Health America of Greater Houston (2211 Norfolk, Suite 810)
Petagay Chen-Ledbetter, Ph.D., LPN, RN with the Hope Clinic will discuss their older adult behavioral health services.
Caryn Elizabeth Glosch, Ph.D. with Alzheimer’s Disease and Memory Disorders Center from Baylor College of Medicine will discuss their services, clinical trials and mental health for older adults.
Kay Lynn Jenkins, LCSW, Bridging New Hope, will be discussing her work with the older adult population.
Lunch will be provided by Oceans Behavioral Hospital.
