Depression and Diabetes

Depression and Diabetes

The Houston/Harris County Integrated Healthcare Workgroup for Serious/Chronic Illness will be holding its third Spring Brown Bag Series. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, studies show that depression and diabetes are linked. In addition to possibly increasing your risk for depression, diabetes may make symptoms of depression worse. In the United States, people with diabetes are twice as likely as the average person to have depression. MHA's last Spring Brown Bag Series will be discussing Depression and Diabetes with guest speaker, Dr. Marisa E. Hilliard.
