Behavioral Health Resources Training

The Behavioral Health Resource training provides a range of resources in the Houston community for those suffering form behavioral health problems. It will also provide a working knowledge of how to find community behavioral health resources as well as coach consumers to access resources within their community. This training is geared towards professionals without a clinical background, which includes community health workers, non-licensed professionals, case managers, or those new to the mental health field.

Registration will begin at 12:30 pm. 

Light snacks provided - Registration required - Seating is limited to 30

Speaker Karla Banic
Karla Banic is currently an intern and Betsy Schwartz fellow at Mental Health America of Greater Houston. Ms. Banic is a senior in the Social Work program at University of Houston-Downtown. After graduating, she plans to attend the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Houston for a masters degree ...

Karla Banic is currently an intern and Betsy Schwartz fellow at Mental Health America of Greater Houston. Ms. Banic is a senior in the Social Work program at University of Houston-Downtown. After graduating, she plans to attend the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Houston for a masters degree specializing in clinical social work. Currently, Ms. Banic's interests within the social work field are centered around clinical social work and working with clients individually regarding their health and mental health. However, Ms. Banic is excited to be exposed to macro-level social work at Mental Health America and is excited to learn from the organization and all it does for the Houston area.
