Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders Training
Learn symptomology of perinatal mental illnesses,
how to screen for postpartum depression, treatment modalities,
and the consequences of untreated perinatal mental illness.
The intended training audience is social workers, case managers, other mental health and social service professionals, as well as medical support personnel such as community health workers. As detailed psychopharmacology will not be discussed in this training, it is not intended for advanced medical professionals, such as physicians or registered nurses.
Cost for the training is $10.
CEUs are available for LMSW/LCSWs, LPCs, and LMFTs for an additional $5.
Payment is due on the day of the event by exact cash or check.

Dr. Patricia Perrin is Director of the OCD and AnxietyTreatmentCenter in Houston. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Preventive Medicine at MethodistHospital in 1986, and has been in private practice since 1986. She specializes in treating anxiety disorders, especially obsessive-compulsive disorder and its spectrum disorders – generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder. She also treats women’s mental health issues, including eating disorders, but recently has focused on hormonally influenced disorders. She is a member of the Yates Children Memorial Fund Committee. She educates professionals and the community about anxiety disorders, particularly as they impact women. She is a Licensed Psychologist and Behavior Therapist. She provides psychological treatment for adults, adolescents, and children using expert recommended cognitive-behavior therapies for: obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, and trichotillomania and body dysmorphic disorder. She is a member of the Association for Advancement of Behavior Therapy.
