2014 Veterans Mental Health Summit
Veterans, family members and Veteran-serving organizations from Harris, Fort Bend, Galveston, Montgomery, and nearby counties are slated to attend the 2014 Veterans Mental Health Summit.
This one-day event will highlight how veteran-serving and nonprofit organizations, schools, companies, and local, state and federal government agencies in the Southeast Texas Gulf Coast Region work together to provide resources and additional support for the mental health and wellness of Veterans and their families.
THE 2014 SUMMIT WILL FEATURE:
- Breakout sessions on Navigating the Veterans Health Administration & Veterans Benefits Administration, Peer Support, Family Services, Employment Services, Faith Communities, and Local Community Resources.
- A networking lunch.
- A panel discussion with veterans and family members to examine and discuss some of the critical issues and evolving needs of the Veteran community.
- The inaugural Excellence in Veterans Assistance Award.
