Supporting Veterans Mental Health Workshop

 
Learn how to support the mental health concerns of
veterans and their family members by expanding your knowledge of
trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and suicide prevention.

This training is designed for mental health professionals,
specifically those currently involved in the MHA Pro Bono Counseling Program.

 

The training is offered as a community service at no charge to participants by
Mental Health America of Greater Houston.


CEUs will be provided for social workers, LPCs, and LMFTs by
Family Services of Greater Houston

 

Speakers will include staff from the
 Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center:
Karin Thompson, PhD
 Program Director, PTSD Recovery Program
and
The Suicide Prevention Team
