Center for School Behavioral Health Advocacy Task Force Legislative Update - 5.11.17

May 11th, 2017

HB 2623 (Allen I Thompson, Senfronia) and HB 3887 (Coleman) are headed to the Senate!!

On Tuesday, HB 2623 (Allen I Thompson, Senfronia) and HB 3887 (Coleman) were voted successfully out of the House Local and Consent Calendar and sent to the Senate!

We are hopeful our Transition Services and Trauma Training bills will be well received by the Senate. That said, we are certain we will have to work just as hard to get these bills passed – while we race against the clock.

So, here’s to starting at the very beginning, a very good place to start!

As soon as we have more information on a hearing date, we will let you know. Please keep an eye out for more details!

Eighteen Days

There are eighteen days left of the 85th Legislative Session and we are so thrilled with our progress and all we have accomplished together. While we have a great deal of work left to do to get our bills through the Senate, we each want to take a moment and thank you all for your efforts during the past four months.
